Columnar Apple Trees

IMG_7015I know it’s been a little quiet around here. Mostly because F. & I recently purchased our first home. What a wonderful feeling it is knowing that we can really put down roots here and watch them grow and spread. So of course, the first thing my head began to fill with was dreams of sugarplums fig trees, blueberry bushes and beyond.

My desire, bien sur, is that of the ultimate homestead with a variety of fruiting flora. My first arrival was a set of two columnar apple plants. They came in the set to ensure proper cross pollination. I ordered my apple trees here a couple weeks ago, and they arrived this week. After work today, F. & I planted them in our front yard, in the corner bed between our driveway and sidewalk. They should grow to be 10 feet tall, but here’s a photo of my modest beauties now.
